I have been using this free photo software for several years now and I really like it. This is an easy way to organize all your photos in one location with the ability to email, crop, edit, zoom and so much more right from the software.

According to Picasa:

The easy way to share and manage your photos.

Picasa is a free software download from Google that helps you:

* Locate and organize all the photos on your computer.
* Edit and add effects to your photos with a few simple clicks.
* Share your photos with others through email, prints, and on the web: it’s fast, easy and free.

We also have been using this software at the office for over 3yrs now to keep track of all our client photos. Basically what we do is when our estimator goes out he takes pictures of the potential job site. When he is back in the office he downloads these pictures via a card reader directly to Picasa and names the folder for that group after the job site. It has literally been one of the best pieces of software we have installed. Currently in our structure it is holding over 4K photos distributed amongst hundreds of client folders. I don’t think there is a day that goes by at work where we DON’T have Picasa open to look at a photo of a job site. Our digital camera with high resolution ability, a large memory card and Picasa has been the best return on investment for our company period.

If your an individual just wanting to keep track of your photos or a company looking for a solid solution to keep track of client photos then Picasa is your answer.
